The State Government is investing $906,395 in community-led arts projects from Kununurra to Katanning to boost the social and emotional wellbeing of young Western Australians.
This year, 15 recipients will share in the funding from the Creativity and Wellbeing for Young People program to lead arts initiatives across metropolitan and regional WA.
The funding supports artists, local governments and community arts organisations to deliver accessible and inclusive programs that build confidence, strengthen connections and support wellbeing.
Projects include storytelling, music, visual arts, puppetry and culturally-led programs, helping young people develop skills, express themselves and feel more connected in their communities.
The Creative and Wellbeing for Young People program is delivered in partnership with Healthway and the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport. Since 2024, more than $2.5M has been awarded to 41 projects across the state.
