Maree De Lacey

Acting Executive Director

Maree was appointed Acting Executive Director of Healthway in June 2015. She has over 30 years’ experience in senior executive roles across a wide range of government and non-government organisations in a variety of sectors.
Maree’s career has focused on leadership of organisations ranging from small, strategic, not for profit agencies to large complex government departments at both State and Commonwealth level in metropolitan and regional areas of Queensland, the ACT, Tasmania and Western Australia.
In Western Australia, Maree’s leadership roles have included Director General of the Department of Water for over four years, Chief Executive of the Peel Development Commission and an Executive Director with the then Department for Family and Children’s Services. Maree has been a member of the Landcorp Board and the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Dr Jo Clarkson

Director, Health Promotion

Jo joined Healthway in her current position in 2002. Jo’s early training was in medical research and she has more than 25 years’ experience in the health sector with an emphasis on health promotion.
She gained her Masters in Health Education and Health Promotion in 1992 from the University of Wales. Before moving to Western Australia in 1996 she was an evaluation specialist and programme manager with the “Heartbeat Wales” program, which was the first community based heart disease prevention programme in the UK. Before joining Healthway she was Senior Consultant and then Director of the Health Promotion Evaluation Unit at The University of Western Australia.
As Director, Health Promotion, Jo leads the Health Promotion Division at Healthway, which has responsibility for grants, research, health promotion and evaluation support for the sponsorship program, and strategic health promotion advice across the organisation.

Mr Bill Ongley

Acting Director, Sponsorship

Bill was appointed Acting Director, Sponsorship in October 2015. He will already be well known to many in the sport and recreation sector. Bill joined Healthway in 1993 as Sport Program Manager and during the past 22 years he has been an important contact for Healthway sponsorship applicants and recipients.

Prior to joining Healthway, Bill worked at the Department for Sport and Recreation for nine years in a variety of roles including Manager of the Department’s Sport Consultancy Unit.
Bill has always had a keen interest in all sports and this ensures there aren’t many sports he is not familiar with.

As Acting Director, Sponsorship, Bill is responsible for the administration of Healthway’s sponsorship program which encompasses sport, racing, arts and community events and projects. The role includes overseeing the application and contracting processes across all these areas and the sponsorship leveraging team which manages the health promotion aspect of Healthway’s sponsorships after they are approved by the Board.

Ms Lina Barbato

Director, Corporate Services

Lina has over 25 years’ experience in the public sector in Western Australia. She has held senior positions at the Department of Treasury before moving to the position of Manager Corporate Services at the now Department of Fire and Emergency Services and also at the now Corruption and Crime Commission.
Lina’s role at Healthway involves leading the Corporate Services Division and, as the Chief Finance Officer, her responsibilities include finance, organisational development, governance, contract management and information, communication and technology.
Lina holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Curtin University, an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and a Diploma in Project Management. Lina is also a member of the Institute of Public Accountants and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
