Arts Sponsorship
The primary purpose for Healthway’s Arts Sponsorship Program is to provide sponsorship support for community based arts and culture activities such as festivals, theatre/dance productions, concerts, exhibitions and workshops and where there is a significant opportunity to change behaviours and environments to improve health.
The objectives of the Arts Sponsorship program are to;
- To encourage healthy lifestyles through the effective promotion of health messages relating to Healthway priority areas
- To facilitate structural and policy change within organisations and venues to create healthy environments
- To facilitate opportunities for priority population groups to participate in healthy activities, with either physical activity and/or social engagement benefits
- To reduce the promotion of unhealthy messages or brands which undermine Healthway objectives

Special Initiatives
YCULTURE Program presented by Drug Aware
YCulture is a funding and development program for young people (aged 12- 26 years of age) residing in WA. It provides up to $3,000 (or $5,000 above the 26 parallel) to support young people develop their artistic and management skills through the development and presentation of arts and cultural events.
Applicants can apply any time throughout the year for projects starting at least two calendar months later. Examples of projects that could be funded include festivals, arts workshops, concerts, community dance parties, exhibitions and multi-arts events.

Sharing Stories presented by Make time to talk
Sharing Stories is a developmental community arts sponsorship program sponsored by Healthway and managed by Community Arts Network WA (CANWA) to promote Relationships Australia’s Make Time to Talk Message.
The fund offers up to $5,000 towards arts projects in the Wheatbelt, Goldfields and Great Southern regions in WA that encourage community participation and inspire creativity, with a particular focus on young people and Indigenous groups. Priority is given to projects that provide people the opportunity to participate in the arts, learn from one another and share stories, or work with skilled artists to develop community based arts activities.
