This booklet provides guidelines for Healthway funded organisations in developing, promoting, monitoring and reviewing their health policies. Organisations applying for grants and sponsorships from Healthway may be required to have a written healthy policy in place as a condition of funding. Check the application forms for details.
How will a health policy benefit your organisation?
- It demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to the health of members, spectators and participants.
- An organisation promoting health will appeal to a broader community interest.
- Parents feel reassured when children are involved in organisations where they are less likely to be exposed to unhealthy environments.
- An organisation that promotes health is more attractive to sponsors.
